If you had to describe the piece in one sentence what would it be?

A physical manifestation of my response to the proposed building of Europe's largest Tesco in Stoke-On-Trent.

In your opinion, what has been the most exciting/interesting part of Conjunction 08?

Installing the work, and seeing and meeting other artists as they deliver/install work.

How would you describe yourself as an artist?

Location-specific installation artist.

Who are your biggest influences?

Joseph Beuys, Richard Wilson, Bruce Nauman, Arne Quinze, Louise Bourgouise.

Had you ever visited Stoke-on-Trent prior to your involvement with Conjunction?

I had also participated in Conjunction06. Prior to that I had never been to Stoke-On-Trent before.

What one piece of advice would you give to someone who wanted to practice professionally as an artist?

Work hard.
