“Didn’t We Do Well?” is a high definition projection featuring artists, organisers, facilitators and volunteers involved in Conjunction 08. Each subject has been filmed separately; this portrait-like-footage has been edited into a matrix structure by Nisha Duggal. Despite their apparent separation, these subjects appear to act in concert, waves of applause and congratulation sweep repeatedly across the screen. The work transgresses norms of reticence that would stifle any whiff of self-congratulation.
