Michael Coombs has created a new work entitled “Hidden” for Conjunction 08 and it is hoped that people parking in Clementson Mill car park will eventually become alert to Coombs’ work. The monumental qualities of permanent public sculpture have been jettisoned in favour of a more low-key sculptural engagement. Coombs’ resin-soaked suggestion of a motorbike can be encountered within the city centre, quietly positioned - a vehicular interloper.
